VictimsVoicesUK sincerely encourages victims to come forward no matter how long ago the crime was committed and report to their local police. It is a given fact that JW elders and Bethel’s Legal Department have neither legal investigative powers nor counselling training to deal with child or adult sexual abuse victims. Numerous historic cases have never been reported due to the JW organisation’s misapplication of the scriptural ‘two witnesses’ to a crime rule in matters of child sexual abuse.

If you or someone you know is being abused or think they may be being abused you can call these helplines listed below:

If you are a child or a young person under the age of 19 you can call CHILDLINE on 0800 1111 or call the Police on 999

If you think a child is in imminent danger call the Police on 999

If you are an adult concerned about a child you can also call the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 or call the Police on 101

Alternatively, if you are an adult who has suffered abuse in childhood you can contact NAPAC on 0808 801 0331. NAPAC can support survivors of abuse from within many ‘faith based’ organisations.

Remember at VictimsVoicesUK we understand the unique complexities of being in a closed organisation like the JW org and how hard it can be to open up to those who have never been in the organisation. We are here to bridge that gap to support and help both victims and survivors in the right direction.

You can email us at victimsvoicesuk@gmail.com and we will endeavour to reply to you within a day.

If you are a victim and survivor of abuse and you are ready to share your experience we urge you to contact the Truth Project which was set up by IICSA to contribute to the work of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse. Contact them by emailing share@truthproject.org.uk
